Tenant Fees & Charges
Should you wish to proceed with a tenancy through M & M Property, the following fees/charges will apply in addition to the rent agreed
There is a holding fee payable to secure a property until the agreed move-in date. This fee is usually equivalent to one weeks’ rent and acts as part payment towards your first months’ rent. It is only refundable if on our part or the landlord’s part, the tenancy cannot proceed.
There is an administration fee equivalent to the sum of the holding fee, payable by the Tenant(s) should you cancel a proposed tenancy or fail to move in without prior agreement, by the agreed move-in date.
There is an administration fee of £100.00 + VAT (£120.00 inclusive of VAT) per person payable for Referencing and credit checks.
There is usually a Check-Out fee payable by the tenant(s) for the final “schedule of condition” of the property. The Check-Out fee is estimated in advance and varies according to the size and contents of the property. Prices range approximately between £93.50 and £200.00 plus VAT (£112.20 and £240.00 inclusive of VAT) per property and is payable at the start of the tenancy.
There is a security deposit payable, equivalent to the sum of one months’ rent, six weeks rent or sometimes more depending on the property and/or your personal circumstances.
M & M Property is a member of the Property Ombudsman redress scheme and of a Client Money Protection scheme.
